1. Is it really needed? Just because you can have many social media platforms and accounts, doesn't mean you should. Know the difference between should, could, must, and won't.

2. How will it be used? Social media falls into three different categories: used for personal, professional, or recreational. Identify your purpose for the platform, and ensure your usage on the platform matches accordingly.

3. How will I stay safe? Remembering that 'I' term when using social media is key, as you are the only one in control of yourself. Make sure you feel confident in your own usage, and continue to prioritize yourself throughout.
